60 So that He ^aabandoned the ^bdwelling place at Shiloh,
The tent ^{▼▼ Some ancient versions read where He dwelt}which He had pitched among men,
61 And gave up His ^dstrength to captivity
And His glory ^einto the hand of the adversary.
62 He also ^fdelivered His people to the sword,
And ^{▼▼ Or became infuriated}was filled with wrath at His inheritance.
63 ^hFire devoured ^{▼▼ Or their}His young men,
And ^{▼▼ Or their}His ^kvirgins had no wedding songs.
64 ^{▼▼ Or their}His ^mpriests fell by the sword,
And ^{▼▼ Or their}His ^owidows could not weep.
